Kansas Science Festival Takes Place in Downtown Manhattan

The 3rd annual Kansas Science Festival took place today in downtown Manhattan, featuring 150 presenters in 50 booths offering a wide range of activities related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Participants from institutions such as K-State and NBAF showcased activities like paper microscopes, exploration of Kansas’s native fish, and biophysics.

Phillip Shults, the program coordinator for the Kansas Science Festival, emphasized the importance of getting both kids and parents excited about science. He noted that everyone, regardless of age, could take away something valuable from the event. Despite weather conditions, some of the festival activities were relocated to the library. The strong community support was instrumental in making the event a success. Copyright 2024 WIBW. All rights reserved.
