On Friday, the Spurs and Knicks faced off in a thrilling match that went into overtime. With just seconds remaining on the clock, Wembanyama tightly clutched the ball with both hands, seemingly attempting to prevent the Knicks’ Jalen Brunson from obtaining it. However, in a moment of frustration, he flung the ball into the crowd of Spurs fans.
Despite an impressive performance by Brunson for the Knicks, who scored 61 points, the team fell short by just four points. Wembanyama himself had an outstanding game for the Spurs, scoring 40 points, grabbing 20 rebounds, and dishing out seven assists. This victory marked their third win in their last five games and improved their record to 9-18 on the season.
