Police say man sought after attempted robbery at Dunham’s Sports

A suspect is on the run from police in Benton Township after smashing a gun case at Dunham’s Sports on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 10 a.m., as reported by WSJM Radio. The Sheriff’s Department stated that the man entered the store, donned a mask, and broke the glass to access handguns. When employees reacted to the situation, the suspect fled the scene without taking any firearms with him.

The robbery attempt marks the second time in six months that Dunham’s Sports has been targeted by thieves. In December, two individuals were arrested for forcibly taking the store manager and stealing two large coolers full of guns. This latest incident has prompted law enforcement to seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
