Police forcibly enter Dina Boluarte’s home in connection with Rlex scandal

On Friday night, police officers in Peru broke into the president’s house in Boluarte to seize three luxury watches from the Rolex brand as part of a preliminary investigation for alleged illicit enrichment and failure to testify to the detriment of the State. The president was not at home, but one of her children was present, and later one of her lawyers arrived.

The search and seizure registration was approved by Supreme Judge Juan Carlos Checkley at the request of the attorney general as part of the investigation into the alleged illicit enrichment case. There has been controversy between the Presidency of Peru and the Public Ministry regarding the proceedings initiated as part of the investigation. The president’s legal defense requested to reschedule the proceedings after the prosecutor declared that she had frustrated the investigations by not attending summonses.
