MetroHealth System Hosts Men’s Health Fair with Even More Offerings This Year

Free Health Screenings Offered by MetroHealth at Two Locations on Saturday with Available Transportation

The Men’s Health Fair hosted by The MetroHealth System is back this year with even more to offer! This year, the event will be held at two locations: the Alex B. Johnson Center at the Cuyahoga Community College Metropolitan Campus and MetroHealth’s Cleveland Heights Medical Center. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., attendees can take advantage of dozens of free health screenings, education, and career resources.

Registration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome, and shuttle services will be provided to transport attendees between the two locations. This year’s health fair will focus on a range of health topics, including cholesterol, diabetes, digestive health, heart health, and more.

Last year, many participants were found to have high cholesterol levels, high blood sugar levels and elevated PSA levels indicating a risk of prostate cancer. These individuals were offered follow-up care with a MetroHealth provider. Dr. Charles Modlin, a urologist and MetroHealth’s vice president and chief health equity officer emphasized that every person deserves a chance at a long healthy life regardless of their background or economic status. The Men’s Health Fair aims to save lives by encouraging men to take charge of their health and seek preventive care. Don’t miss this opportunity to prioritize your own wellness!
