A Child Sexually Assaulted at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry: Police Urge Community to Report Any Information on Suspect

Seeking a Suspect in Child Sex Abuse at Museum of Science and Industry – NBC Chicago

A suspect is being sought by Chicago police after a 10-year-old girl was sexually abused at the Museum of Science and Industry. The incident took place on Thursday when the girl got separated from her group while visiting the museum located at 5700 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

The suspect approached the girl, offering to help her find her group. He took the child to the museum’s second floor and when she asked to use the restroom, he followed her into the room. While in the restroom, the suspect crawled under the stall door and inappropriately touched the child. The girl managed to kick towards him, causing him to flee from the restroom.

The suspect is described as being between 30 to 40 years old, weighing between 160 to 180 pounds, and standing between 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet 3 inches tall. He has curly light brown hair, a beard, and a tattoo of a roaring lion on his neck.

Chicago police have issued a community alert and are asking anyone with information about this incident or this suspect to call their Bureau of Detectives Special Investigations Unit at (312)492-3810.
